RE: Fats, Oils, and Grease (FOG)
The Bradford Sanitary Authority seeks to support local restaurant owners and operators with guidance on the proper management and disposal of fats, oils, and grease (FOG). We have enclosed this pamphlet to explain the basic methods and requirements for dealing with FOG, and information is also available from our website at www.bradfordsanitary.com. Additionally, BSA staff are available to visit your business and assist you with any questions or concerns.
The Rules & Regulations of the Authority lay out the requirements for commercial businesses (including restaurants) necessary to protect the wastewater treatment plant and local waterways. Additionally, City ordinances exist through the Code Inspection Program (and specifically the Restaurant Inspector) that facilitate the proper operation of restaurant and commercial kitchen facilities.
